Craig is the Division Director of Healthcare Services for Absher Construction Company. Absher has been a leading builder in the Puget Sound region for three generations. Craig is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years. He is involved with the AGC at several levels including the Negotiating Committee with the Laborers. Craig is a recognized leader and builder of trust within organizations and people.

Aaron Wiehe is a senior project manager with PCL Construction, part of the PCL family of companies, the seventh largest contracting organization in the United States. With more than 17 years of construction industry experience, he has managed several complex, high profile projects involving The Bravern Signature Residences Towers 3 & 4, Billings Air Traffic Control Tower, and the King County Communications and Control Center.  His drive, proactive attitude and keen leadership skills have won him wide recognition as a natural leader and a creative solution provider. Aaron is a certified LEED® professional, Associate DBIA, and has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University.

Loren Pease grew up in the construction industry, on the grounds of Pease & Sons, Inc., one of Tacoma’s longest standing construction companies.  A part of the third generation to keep the family legacy strong and growing, Loren started Pease Construction in 1984, which has completed more than 400 projects over the last 26 years for municipalities as well as for the private sector. Loren has helped to establish the company’s strength in military, commercial, industrial, historical renovation, renovation, and design-build work. Loren has long been involved with AGC, holding many posts, including past president of the AGC Education Foundation and current executive committee and board member, AGC Southern District Vice President, and AGC Board Trustee.  He is also a member of the AGC Negotiating Committee for both the Laborers and the Carpenters.

David J. Letinich is the Business Manager & Secretary-Treasurer of the Washington and Northern Idaho District Council, which represents 12 local union affiliates with a membership more than 12,000. A Navy veteran, he started his Union career in 1979 in Laborers’ Local #335 in Vancouver, Washington, to work on Bonneville Dam’s second powerhouse and has since worked his way up the ranks to a series of high ranking positions. Dave currently holds important posts with several organizations, including Chairman of the Washington Fair Contracting Foundation, chairman and trustee of the Northwest Laborers-Employers Training Trust Fund, secretary and trustee for the Northwest Laborers-Employers Health & Security Trust Fund and the Western Washington Laborers-Employers Pension Trust.  With his attitude and work ethic, Dave exemplifies the newest generation of labor leaders dedicated to expanding market share, increasing membership and always improving safety and job conditions for the members he serves.

Don McLeod has built a long-standing and diverse career working with Laborers Local 252.  After working as a laborer for 13 years and as an training instructor for the Northwest Laborers/Employers Training Trust for 8 years, he began working directly for Laborers Local 252 in 1998. His broad construction experience includes road building and rebuilding, large scale building projects, school construction and re-construction, bridge rehabilitation, and large scale power plant maintenance. A true team leader, Don serves on the Washington State Building Trades Executive Board, the Washington and Northern Idaho District Council of Laborers Executive Board, and is a trustee on all three of the Laborers’ trusts.

Candace Minerich, a Colorado native and an actual coal miner’s daughter, joined the team at GLY Construction, Inc. in 2008. Candace uses her expertise in contracting and risk management to contribute to GLY’s success as one of the largest locally owned general contractors in the Puget Sound area.  Candace earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University and her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Candace is licensed to practice law in numerous federal jurisdictions as well as in both Louisiana and Washington states. Prior to joining GLY, Candace worked as an attorney specializing in construction defect and professional liability claims representing developers, general contractors and engineers.  In addition to being a member of the WALECET Board of Directors, Candace serves on the AGC Negotiating Committee for the Laborers and as a Trustee on the Northwest Laborers-Employers Health & Security Trust.

Mark Halvorson was hired to lead WALECET in 2006 based on his strong background in business development and construction. Prior to joining WALECET, he was a carpenter and laborer in the residential and commercial construction markets in California and Oregon. Before entering the construction trade, Mark had an accomplished 20 year career as a software engineer in Silicon Valley.  Today, Mark heads up WALECET’s involvement in several industry organizations, including Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), NAIOP and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
